Did you put salt in or where they really old? I've never had any problem cooking chana dhal

FUCKING CHANA DALL!!!

I soaked mine for 2 days in plenty of water

Boiled for 20min

Simmered for 2hrs

Strange....I soaked mine in boiled water for 30 mins and cooked as normal are you sure it was chana daal?
