Championship thread - 09/10 season

Where is the booing?

Sheff Utd have clearly come to do a job and are doing it, but Boro are displaying the same disinterested, lazy bastard football that got them relegated last year. You would have to think that if this continues for a couple of games that Southgate has to get sacked.

At the end, finally, a ripple of boos spurts forth.

Actually, recently the BBC have seen fit to put an absolutely awful drama production on early on Saturday evenings, usually a tired old cliche laden story, replete with a laughably shit cast, terrible pantomime-style baddie and all of them outfitted in absolutely terrible costumes.

I think the East Midlands mini league could be the most interesting bit of the league, actually. Depending on where you look, the trees, the shaggers and the foxes all have similar odds.

I have a soft spot for Leicester and think if they get the striker(s) they need then they'll finish ahead of the others. Arguably the best defence in the division, and decent attacking strengh in midfield, but a weak strikeforce.

Forest are having an excellent close season and Davies is a great manager, but I don't know if they have enough bite.

Derby... I suspect they'll underperform.

Coventry could be (just about) included in the mini league... they're gonna finish bottom.

I dunno why, but for some reason I have a soft spot for most midlands teams. I say most, but I despise Birmingham City, but Forest, Derby, Leicester, Coventry, West Brom, these are all quite emminently un-dislikeable clubs...

Notts County have a Warnock connection that they'll never quite recover from.

I particularly like Leicester cos I went to Uni there, but even West Brom, Walsall, Coventry, Wolves, hard to dislike them. Even Villa aren't that irritating.

Brum City are of course the exception and cunts.

I definitely think the Midlands has the highest proportion of likeable clubs.

Don't like WBA/wolves personally. No real reason, just find them dull. Villa are decent.

Make that FIVE!!!!!

Norwich 0 Colchester United 5.

I am in bits, laughing my arse off at the hopeless budgies.

I love Colchester United, I really do.
