Chambers, Ohuruogu and how to aviod drug testers

Would you like me to point you in the direction of some other statistics in which only one of three hundred people came a-cropper from something or other? One in three hundred would generally be considered an acceptable error rate... but it sucks to be that one.

Please quote the post where I said I was "ready to ban all the winners.

"Everybody's doin' it, doin' it, doin' it" aren't they?

Of course you want them banned.

I and most others would rather go by the evidence we have at the moment, and condemn the real cheats who've been caught.

Sure.

As long as she calls them before the one hour slot for that day that SHE told them where she'd be, it's fine - even up to the last minute.
I also think people forget how much public and lottery money is throw at her - it's not as if it's an inconvenience for her to be tested in her otherwise busy life, she's a full time professional, with full time coaches, and she is effectively a public servant.

Fwiw, at the moment there are 43 athletes on the UK Athletics World Class (Podium Level) Programme. I imagine they all grasp that the one thing that can take away their privilaged lifestyle is to not make yourself available to testers - three times.

So you accept that you misrepresented what I've posted.

I'll await the apology.

:)

Cheers!

If it's really that important to you you can have one :)

Though you've come out of this looking even more foolish than before, namely a man who apparently knows everybody's doin' it but doesn't in fact want them banned.

Most odd.

Exactly.

Given the level of support and number of people supporting her, it's unimaginable to me that "she forgot".

Not neccessarily.

If they've got a good sob story, it's possible still go on to compete for team GB at international levels.

:hmm:

Actually, thinking about it, you've slandered every competitor at Beijing with your "Everybody's doin' it" mantra, which is a bit nasty to be honest.

Plus I'm 99% sure you do want drug cheats banned, regardless of what you say.

Hmmm.

*ponders*

Maybe you should think about apologising to the hundreds of honest hard-working Olympians who aren't on drugs, then perhaps I'll consider my own position again.

:)

*thinks*

Yeah.

That is a fair point.

Although it's only my opinion is that everyone's doing it - and I accept that it's entirely possible that nobody's doing it (until busted,) - although given Marion Jones et al, I think that's highly unlikely.

And it cannot be proven that any athlete is actually clean - that's impossible. All that can be demonstrated is that they turn up for testing as required and tested negative when tested.

Or, on the other hand, miss three tests completely and still get to compete.

Whereas what you have done is to put words in my mouth and when asked to show me where I wrote them were unable to, because I didn't write them and didn't say that.

So on balance, I do think an apology is warranted.

:)
