I've already given you a reason, and your shit completely misses the point made before me, although I can see how that might happen seen as you're one of the crappest posters here (how long has it been since you thought it doesn't look good to call poor people chavs on here btw?).

Because I wanted to continue watching an enjoyable series after a mate let me borrow his DVDs and got me interested, I'm 'beyond redemption.'

The 'quality' BBC is also awful in its agenda-driven, liberal middle class vileness towards this society's most vulnerable. More so than a channel like 5. There's some knee-jerk snobbery being shown here by people who like to feel superior in denying the critical intelligence of others while not really displaying much themselves. People can pick and choose what they want to watch and just maybe they're not all idiots in doing so. It's a weird idea, innit. Who knows, there might be a film on that channel I fancy watching at some point.

Oh, so you haven't got anything to back up the unprovoked abuse you've thrown at me - along with some nonsense about the word chav, which iirc most people on here find to be an unacceptable term. I made two posts to this thread, before you jumped down my throat. Neither of them were in response or refernce to, or even quoted, you. Get over yourself.
 
I was making a reference to the post by goldenecitrone earlier. You know that. You're being a dick now (mind you, when are you not?) and by making out I had been confused were trying to find a way to throw something back because your feelings are a little hurt? Is that accurate?

what does that have to do with anything? I've made no secret that wishface was another username before this one. Is that a problem for you? You're quoting a thread, started by someone else, from almost 5 years ago. Until the end of last year I hadn't posted for 4 years.

I could have come back and created an entirely new personna using my twitter and google name which is different again from the blog I keep that I link to in this profile. So what? Do you think i'm breaking the official secrets act or something? Awesome Wells and Wishface are just silly internet nicnakes the same as everyone else's. Get over it, I'm fucking tired of being attacked for this. I've had people run me down and attack me for my entire life and just once I'd like to find somewhere where that shit doesn't happen. This is really out of order. This thread has been twisted into an attack that is completely unjustified.

I think it's completely beyond the pale and utterly venal to dig up a thread from 5 years ago and quote something nebulous that doesn't even have any bearing on this discussion just to have a dig at someone. That is utter cowardice and I consider that bullying. Especially when the quoted links straddle a 4 year gap where I didn't even post, and don't even mention the word 'chav'.

I think it's bang out of order to slag someone else off for a word they might have used years ago. Certainly I have used that word before, in the past. We all know it became popular for a time and I certainly had no idea of the history or true meaning of that word. I don't remember if I posted using that word 5 years ago anymore than I remember anything else I posted about anything back then so it's entirely possible I used that word, and was entirely wrong to do so. But I'm not going to be manipulated for it by someone just as a cheap shot because they don't like me as a poster, that's absolutely childish. A little more respect to other posters on this forum, rather than posing, would go a long way.
 
Are any of our Channel 5 regulars going to redeem themselves then and come up with a review of Desmond's latest controversial addition to the EU debate?

it was near impossible to get 5 out side of major urban centres when it first rolled out. You could get it on cable more or less anywhere but it was crap via ariel. Even two years into itself, still people couldn't get it everywhere. No idea why this is, I thought the tv channels all used the same network of towers.

The Walking Dead is shit? Personally I think the second season was pretty poor (but I understand that was due to budget limitations), however I thought the third was an improvement when it didn't linger too much on the death of Rick's wife. Generally it's not bad telly, entertaining enough, which is why I watch it. Or, did you mean (in your stupid blind snobbery) that it must be shit merely because it was broadcast on Channel 5? The only way I could've watched the third season at the time, without waiting for the DVDs. I know you don't think that really, but it demonstrates the silliness of the generalisation you made earlier?

Yes. It is shit. Though far superior to the rest of the dross on Channel 5. Is it snobbery not to read books by Barbara Cartland or Andy McNab?
 
Walking Dead lost it for me around all that Governor/compound business. Put up with it till the prison, but by the time Rick's wife died I realised I didn't like anyone in the program.

You can't fault it for the zombie/gore/terror bits though. The 'shots attract zombies' twist was quite good, means there are more bludgeoning and close quarters fights.
 
So, because I watched a telly program about zombies last year, that means I am in agreement with the shit above? I know you're a serious intellectual and everything, but...
