Cement Mixer Crash

I live at the top of Brixton Hill. I know my limits, and I know there's no way I could cycle up that hill.

Besides, the cement mixer probably crashed by swerving to avoid a cyclist that had jumped a red light.

I had to walk down the hill once when the road was shut ... that was bad enough. I don't think it's any coincidence that about half way up is the Doctor's Surgery.

Plus, looking at the Brixton Cycles website, I can't justify the expense of a bike - unless they do really cheap second hand ones that aren't listed on the website.

Get one free from Freecycle just to try it out. Everytime we get a new lodger, we get them a bike (if they wish) from Freecycle. Had some pretty decent bikes too. Otherwise there are plenty of places to get cheap 2nd hand bikes.

I think you'd be surprised at how easy it actually is to cycle up Brixton Hill - it's really not bad at all.

I bet if you gave it a go you'd enjoy it! (despite your very vocal anti-bike statements).

How unfit are you? Brixton Hill is a stroll up, not a slog.

He was speeding down Stockwell Park Walk apparently. You can see the marks his tyres left as it swung to the right through the lights.
