Smith is a dinosaur. Plays players out of position, buys players for positions we have too many players for and buys players and does not play them. The worst celtic team i have ever seen and he can`t beat them. Poor manager and should have walked after Kaunus.

I don't think any manager could do better than Smith with what he's got. Smith-failed in England-but certainly couldn't have said to have failed in his first tenure at Ibrox. The big, and it's the same for Celtic, difference, is tha massive lack of funds that bothe clubs have to deal with.

Where I would agree with your dim view of Smith is his tactics. He clearly deosn't rate Boyd, for whatever reason. It mystifies me with Boyd's scoring record, whish is frankly pretty fucking good. However given Lafferty is out for 6 weeks-after the game on Sunday when he was the only Rangers player who did anything-he might have to play Boyd up front on his own again. Personally I think Boyd and Miller should be tried, but that means no lone striker that Smith seems to prefer.

I was and at the time we were so far ahead i couldn`t really say how bad they were. Smith has spent 30 million on that team. Two centre backs as right and left back, £3.25 centre forward as a winger, Whittaker for £2 million then plays Broadfoot in front of him.

As for Boyd if he does not score a goal then you wouldn`t know he was playing apart from his fouls and offsides.

But he's not become a bad player 'overnight'. His goalscroing record against everyone-exept Celtic-is pretty impressive. I think it's Ironic that a lazy bastard like MCoist is part of a management team that attacks Boyd for being 'lazy'. But he's still capable of scoring goals. However, imho, he's just biding his time, if Rangers don't win the league then Smith is off and Boyd might have a future at Ibox. If Rangers win the league and Smith stays I can't see Boyd staying another season.
