back on the other side
WIth monday off, I've just been resting on the sofa and found myself watching BBC1s kids tv - it seems they've got a whole new bit of programming in time for back to school today.
I dont really like kids tv, but either im just really tired and have regressed twenty years, or the new shows are really impressive!
First up, Shaun the SHeep, which is as good as any other Aardman animation, and with no dialogue its in universal comedy territory. It may even be better than Pingu!
Then there's Evacuation, where city kids live the life of evacuated war time kids. This show is all good, and considering channel 4 have done a simliar thing and run it at 8.30pm I think its quite mature programming considering the time slot.
Also pulling off that trick is Scorpion Island, which is like Survivor but for kids. This is also done very well, and makes the sticky back plastic tv i watched as a kid look like
The weekest show is something about a bear...cant remember the title right now - even that is quite entertaining - mainly cos of the bear's (sock on a hand) somewhat depressive personality.
The weird thing is that its the same run of shows everyday of the week, so if you get the chance have a look
