CBB: Who wins? You decide.

Ok - early doors findings, I hope you all enjoy it! I've collected the latest results from 6 online polls (U75, BBOnline, Yahoo, NTL, AOL & Digispy). After a bit of adjusting for rogue results and "pet" housemates (Maggot on U75 or Traci on Digispy for example) I've come up with the following ballpark figures:

Chantelle: 40%
Maggot: 15%
Preston: 15%
Michael: 10%
Pete: 10%
Traci: 10%

1) Chantelle will win, no doubt about it. Even on the forums where she's regarded badly she still comes out on top with a clear lead. Chantelle's dominance in the poll has unfortunately compressed the votes for the other housemates into a very tight % band. No-one is completely safe from the first eviction bar her. Position? Winner.
2) Maggot has a block regional vote in his favour and has steadily picked up popularity throughout the show. If there was such a thing as a block stoner vote he'd probably have that too. Position? Second.
3) Preston may well make it to the last three, but the teenage girl vote doesn't seem to have turned out for him as expected - I think they're all Chantelle fans. Bit of a damp squib really. Position? Third if he's lucky.

The least popular three are too closely-matched to seperate at the moment - a good edit could pull one of them into the final four very quickly, a lack of airtime could see any of them evicted first.

4) That said, Pete is the last "evil" one left in the house and will scoop up the anti-kids vote. He's had a pretty funny task today and should get the airtime. Position? Fourth, possibly.
5) Barrymore. Who the hell would vote for him? He's achieved a very partial redemption over the last few days and he'll definitely get a very favourable edit, but it won't save him. Position? Fifth, scrapping with...
6) The lovely drunkTraci. Poor old drunkTraci never gets any airtime, but she's a big hit with the live feed viewers. She'd also have picked up the pink vote if C4 had shown her sterling "Gay Rights" debate but alas, they didn't. She has a slightly demented fanbase but I don't think they'll be enough to save her. She'll get a lousy edit, as usual.

Preston isn't conventionally handsome enough for the teenage girl vote, maggot goes up in my estimation and I'm tempted to vote for him. I haven't decided yet but I am veering towards Pete because if he really was that bad, the housemates would've nominated him. I suspect the editing of his queen bitches misses his kind and supportive side, which we've only seen flashes of. I think the people in the house know full well his rants are exaggerated for entertainment puropses and treat them accordingly. He does, admittedly, go too far at times though.

Chantelle, I can't help liking her. And she's the underdog the British people love. Her and pete seem to be very pally these days too.

I feel sorry for george galloway. He made an arse of himself in there but the vicious and hypocritical media backlash is nauseating.

Yes, I do want her to win - she is down to earth, funny, & not afraid to stand up for herself. And she is by no means as daft as people make her out to be.

I don't dislike Maggot - I just wish he would say in public some of the things he's said in the diary room.

If Chantelle wins I'll be gutted. She's very pretty, but so what? There's already full frontal shots of her on the front pages of the tabloids, how boring.

She's very sweet, but it would of been better if bb had put someone in who could at least challenge the others.

Ok, final update - still waiting for a few stats to come in, but I've averaged out 10 big internet polls (the internet does not neccessarily reflect real life voter intention of course) and there's not much change - it's still too close to call.

1) Chantelle will win. Obviously. Still holding strong at 35-45% of ALL the polls.
2) Good question. There's an assumption that Preston will claim 2nd place, but his support looks to be weakening and he may slip through the net. Maggot (block Welsh/Bez/everyman vote) should be up there fighting for the runner up spot and may well claim it.
4-5-6) The big fight is for last spot. The bookies say Traci is a dead cert (her odds have been slipping all day), but in all the polls I've seen she's not too far behind Barrymore. It's hard to rate Pete's chances - he could make it to 3rd or even 2nd with the "bad guy" vote behind him, but at the moment the bookies have him scrapping away with Traci.

There's real value there on Barrymore and even *gasp* Preston. I've gone for the longshot this time by going in on Barrymore and laying off on Traci, Burns and Preston just in case. Traci will probably go, but I'm struggling to see where Barrymore's votes will come from.

What an anti-climax. As if this wasn't a foregone conclusion. What was the fucking point of that? No suspense, no anticipation, nothing.

The only thing this has demostrated is the fact that celebrity is such a superficial concept; it is easy to become a celeb and here, a fake celeb became a real celeb....there's something disgustingly postmodern about all of this.
