Cat in pain

Hmm...about the eating thing. Have you tried putting her food bowl on a stack of something? A stack that is thinner than the circumference of the lampshade? She could reach it then, although she may well knock the bowl off the top of the stack - that's no problem though is it?

Aww...they are a worry. I remember my last cat was meant to be kept in when her back leg was all bandaged up after being attacked by a dog, and I had the top window open an inch. I didn't think she could jump with plaster on her leg, but she fucking did, and got out too

The foodbowl would still prevent her from feeding, so it doesn't matter how high it is - it's OK, we just take it off for when she eats and we let her have a groom afterwards and a nice stroke - we just stop her from licking her wound

She's just had her stitches out and she'll be fine as long as we keep her in for a few weeks until the holes in the bone fill out. I'm sure she'll be much happier now her lampshade has gone. :)

Didn't you get any pics of her with her lampshade on or did you not want to embarrass her?

God, she won't stop bloody moaning. Miaow miaow miaow. It's CONSTANT. It's almost as bad as a crying baby.

Our two are like that and they don't have the excuse of having undergone a major op. They just moan 'cos they don't like each other and 'cos we won't let them out of the door every five minutes, and they have to use the cat flap.

Glad yours is on the mend.
