A couple of days ago she wouldn't move from here and looked like she was feeling very sorry for herself:
Now, she's come out and only miaowing grumpily in her usual way, not in a painful way:

Just rest and anti-inflammatories I guess.Vintage Paw said:Gosh, I wonder what changed so she feels better now? Are you still taking her for an x-ray?
I hope it means she's in the clear now![]()

I hope insurance pays out cos it's over £800. I just hope they don't refuse to pay cos they say having an old plate removed constitutes an existing injury. Dunno how we're gonna pay if they won't cover it
Just paid £180 for the x-ray as well!
Poor little mite - none of this is her fault, yet I'm worrying about money
Aww she is lovely xOrang Utan said:No wonder she was in pain! She has a plate in her leg and the screws are coming loose - one has completely come loose and is floating about freely. well fingers crossed they will, but insurance companies are well known for backing out of claims on the flimsiest of pre-textstwisted_angel said:Aww she is lovely x
Surely the insurance will cover this?
Best of luck...if they try threaten to see a solicitor to see where you stand..i did this regarding a house insurance claim..not the same i know but suddenly they realised i was covered afterall.Orang Utan said:well fingers crossed they will, but insurance companies are well known for backing out of claims on the flimsiest of pre-texts

Orang Utan said:I've no idea. Who are they?

Oh them. Well, I wouldn't want to use resources marked for eldererly and unemployed pet owners. I can afford it, I suppose, just not all at once. Why can't vets accept payments in instalments?Minnie_the_Minx said:Peoples' Dispensary for Sick Animals or something like that. They're like the Blue Cross. Don't know if they'll do it though. PDSA and Blue Cross normally do work for people who can't afford vets' bills (ie. elderly, unemployed etc).
Blue Cross is in Victoria. I think the nearest PDSA is in Putney
Orang Utan said:Anyway, she's been dead affectionate and uncomplaining since she got back. Hasn't miaowed once. She's realised which side her bread's buttered on, I guess!
) would it be possible to get a 0% interest credit card and pay on that, then cut up the card? Might be cheaper than a bank loan. Not sure how fast they arrive though as I've never had one.Orang Utan said:Shit. Insurers won't pay out. The vet wants to keep her for £9 a day until we find the money. I can't even afford that, so I'm going to get her back now. Somehow I've got to find £800 very very soon, cos the op can't wait. I'll ask my parents but they might not have it, so we're looking at an exhorbitant bank loan. Arse!
