Cass Pennant film

You're mental. 13 year old scousers knocking out 40 year olds is laughable. Terrible terrible film. Never read the book.

Stephen graham wants to be careful or he'll paint himself into the same corner as dyer.

I've seen many a 13-14 year old hold their own against blokes twice their age.
And to be fair, only one or two of "The Pack" looked to be that age. I thought Oliver Lee's performance as "Baby" was very convincing.
I get what you are saying about Stephen Graham. He does have a certain menacing charisma about him, so i think he may be destined to play the hard-nut gang leader role.

Steve Graham is in everything these days, he is the new Dyer. He's even in a crap Deadmau5 video talking to some lads about "The 10 Commandments of being a Raver". Utter tosh.

Oh and "ID" is the best hooligan film ever. Hooligans are cunts though, much like gangsters and all their films, I hate the world glamorising them all in cinematic glory.

You're going to get short thrift around here liking ID.

I have to say I quite enjoyed it, but I watched it years and years ago when I hadn't really seen many films.

Those blokes going down in slow-mo weren't 26-28 year olds though they were 40 plus brick shithouses. It looked like total fantasy land to me. It would be a pity if Graham did go down that route (or if, he was forced down that route by earning money as Dyer claims he was) as, from what i've seen, he's got some real talent albeit within a small range - mouse/thicko -psychi - hardnut pscyho - (not saying that's his whole range, but his range in the films i've seen him in). All that said, his role in awaydays is so minor so he didn't have room to give anything other than what he did.

It's bloody not. It's rubbish, i used a similar line to the one above from clint on matb to describe it - probably the best of the new crop, but that it's utter shit tells you all you need to know about the genre. her's the doomed romantic hero, here's the one who can go onto better things, here's the kindly uncle etc oh god, it was really really bad.

^^
pretty much agree with that. Was expecting good things from it for some reason, but was seriously disappointed.

Failed at being a film about football violence and failed at being a coming of age movie.
