Mr Diamond did Sweet Caroline, not only one of the most minging tunes ever written, but one which my mother tortured me with for years, and for that alone he has my eternal loathing. And don't talk to me about such *classics* like I Am I Said, which is just so much self-pitying wank.

If you gave me a poll and put him up against just about anyone else, I'd vote for the other person - including even Anne f***ing Diamond!
