I asked today what 'select face side - prepare face side - test for wind - put on face mark' meant...imagining holding my finger up to the breeze, but not being able to work out why (and also secretly laughing away at the other obvious idea)...before the teacher pointed out I was saying 'wind' wrong....


Anyway - it was fucking GREAT!

We only actually got to do half an hour of actual carpentry today...taking apart a plane and then planing a face side ready to square it to/with (?) an edge...and then it was lunch...and then we had an afternoon of theory which sounds like it'll be pretty boring for a bit in any case (health and safety/refuse removal/'contribute to efficent work practices' LOL etc before it moves on to 1st and 2nd fixing and other slightly more interesting stuff!), but this week was all form filling and screening for dyslexia etc...


.....buuuuuuuuut...apart from a couple of slightly braggy young men (been working in the trade for a few years already...reckon they know it all...can't wait to share that with everyone heh heh!).....the group and the teachers are all very friendly and we had lots of laughs..and best of all, there was another woman there (we shared a great mutual sigh of a relief, I must admit!).

Can't wait for next week!!!

I did manage to go through almost the whole day though thinking I'd avoided that horrific intriduction game they do (which I'd say I'm pretty much phobic about, it's so awful... )...when the second teacher said, late into the day....'we've got 5 minutes before break....blah, blah, blah...why don't we do that fucking horrible thing...blah, blah, blah...'...the fucking cunt!


I pretty much got 'really fucking old', 'generally dead unenthusiastic and unmotivated about anything, ever' and also 'not at all fucking inspired by this course at all' across as my points...which is so far from how I actually feel, you fucking bastards....and really no more than just a great example of why I HATE those 'exercises'!! FUUCKKKKKKK OFFFFFF!!!!!
