Caroline Lucas-hypocrite

Whilst I agree it's not ideal that she used this mode of transport, does that totally invalidate any point she makes on transport?

Nah; it's a peculiar form of self-justification by attack. The template goes something like this:

Person A is prominently trying to do something about major problem B.
Person C knows they are contributing significantly to problem B, but is unwilling to do anything about it.
Person A contributes to problem B in a minor, often unavoidable, way.
Person C siezes on this as a reason why problem B and person A are invalid and can be ignored.
Problem B continues on getting worse.

There's probably a good latin term for it.

'post hoc, ergo propter hoc'

FFS! She was on the telly. It wasn't going to wait for her hitching down.

Anticipating the opportunity this gave to the idiots though, she might have kipped in a shop doorway and got the train back the morning after.

If you want a story a bout a real political hypocrite, look no further that our own First Minister, Alex Salmond, who twice used his official car (a hybrid Lexus, to save the environment) and kept his driver hangng about to travel the 200 yards to and from his official residence in Charlotte Square to parties in George Street, Endinburgh.

His administration is currently spending millions of pounds to tell us to stop eating pies and eat porridge instead.

Do you really want to open the door on all the labour troughing going on?

troughing such as that by my MP, Dickie Caborn (who still hasn't botherted replying to my letter re the Shelter striek lazy tosser) who gets 75k a year from nuke company Amec, and who then tries toi justify by saying they are based in his constituency! mm, shouldn't representing them be a part of your normal MP's job then Dickie???

LOL.

Of all the many many things I have been accused of, and quite rightly at times, being creepy is not one of them.

I was once accused of being sinister but I dont think thats the same.

I got a verbal warning from the Police once for 'creeping someone out'.

It was at the count in Preston two years ago, and as part of my campaign-long method of pyschological harrassment I was following one of the more Blairite New Labour candidates around the hall, stepping in on his conversations and staring at him blandly.

The only time I've ever felt sorry for a copper was that night...

Lab. Cllr: Tell him! He's following me!
Copper: [looks suspiciously confused] ... y'wot?
Lab Cllr: He's following me round the room! He won't leave me alone!
Copper: [looks at me, then back again] ... errr
Lab Cllr: Do something!
Copper: I'll get serge...
