CARDIFF CITY vs Barnsley: FA Cup semi final

God bless the accident of geography makes me Cardiff, and the application of extreme class, sophistication, intelligence and sexiness that makes me Cardiff City ;)

I seriously used to curse the day my Dad took me to my first game at age 7, thus setting me up for a lifetime of heartache and tragedy. Those days are gone! Maybe.

So, who's going down on Sunday?

I went to Ninian park today to sort out my membership card (which I'd lost) The girl at the ticket counter said not to stress about sunday as it was impossible they would all sell out on the first 2/3 days. As there aren't enough season ticket holders and everyone was restricted to how many they buy.

I don't think this will happen, I think they'll be gone on the first day. I was shocked that I heard at least 5 people buy Bob Bank season tickets for next season in the 15 mins I was there. Are they all now 'season ticket holders' and entitled to buy an FA cup ticket? £200 for a wembley-ticket and a season of football sounds like a great deal which lots of people will take advantage of.

Say all the ambassadors renew their season ticket and buy 3 each and all the rest buy 2, that's easily over our allocation straight away! Who's going to sit around and wait to get them later in the week?

Its just so surreal, we've been living off the 1927 win for over 80 years, now we could do it again, and it came from nowhere, utterly bizarre, i half expect to turn up on the Sunday and a steward says 'yeah its the semi final but its Arsenal and Chelsea, dunno where you got Cardiff from?!' and i'd probably say, fair enough. Wierd wierd wierd. Coming back from Miami for the weekend just for the game! Could risk it being the last time we get there, been 81 years since the last one so u never know.

Fair play! How are you getting tickets, do you know a season ticket holder?

I think our old manager Dave Jones will lead Cardiff to the cup, im not to fussed who win it though as long as it isnt those cunts a****n

Breaking rumour that City have lost the Langston case. If true, this means that administration is inevitable. Prepare for fire sale of best players and 10pt deduction. Will update as soon as I get anything concrete.

Nothing on BBC but both sleepinggiant and cardiff city mad forums are inaccessible (due to heavy traffic?). Don't look good :(

Got through. Nowt on the forums ATM. Rumour was actually from Gwlad (Welsh rugby site). One of the posters claimed he'd taken a call from a mate involved at some level with the case saying that the judge had ruled against us. Could be bullshit. Hope it's bullshit.

Just wanted to take this opportunity to grovel unreservedly. Should know better than to go around posting unsubstantiated rumours cribbed from, of all places, a rugby site.

Poor showing. Must do better

/beats head on keyboard/

Bendeus, you are sound.

Couple (well 3) of our lads spent the 2 days in the High Court last week. Word was City had the better of it. Now it's up to the beak. Weds, maybe.

Guess who owns Langston, a Swiss based holding company..??

Yes, that's right, the Lebanese shyster himself, Sam Hamman..

"Cardiff City/Wimbledon are like my children I like to fuck them up.."

Guess who owns Langston, a Swiss based holding company..??

No, a Panamanian based holding company whose only postal address is in Switzerland.

Anyways, hold the fucking front page - Langston in connected to Scam 'we are familee' Hammam non shocka??:eek:

I believe that's exactly what City's lawyers were trying to tell the judge during their summing up on the final day.

Woohoo! :D

"Cardiff's former chairman Sam Hammam has been named by the club's barrister as the man behind Langston."

Cunt.

Good news indeed.

STADIUM ANNOUNCEMENTS OF THE WEEK on BBC Sport website:

"Before we kick off for the second half, I have a very important announcement to make: 'We're the famous Cardiff City and we're going to Wemberleeey. Wemberleeeey!!!Wemberleeeey!!!'"

Stadium announcer at the Cardiff City v Hull game.

:D

Barnsley have not got a keeper have they not???....fancied that young Steele would continue to have blinders for the next two games....that's gone out the window:(

BBC is reporting that Barnsley and West Brom may sort something out. From City's point of view I won't be disappointed if he doesn't play in the semi. But fair dos to him he deserves his big day at wembley after the last two rounds...... the bastard :D

I liked this bit best...

However, ruling that it was not appropriate to grant summary judgment in this case, the judge said: "I have reached the clear conclusion that this is not a case for summary judgment, because the club has a real prospect of a successful defence."

:)
