Bloody hell, there is no pleasing you today, is there ?
I very much doubt that there is a world wide conspiracy to keep her work from the general public and I thought the book, which is supposed to be a general introduction of her work to people outside the industry, was nicely designed and generously illustrated.
yes, it was nice to see it presented in such a good format (love that they actually took the time and effort to make lush hardback edition with full-colour prints when they easily could've just churned out tiny format paperbacks with lower quality pictures)
and it startles me to see how influential she actually must've been back in the (her) day, albeit as an "invisible shadow"- cog in the disney emporium..her work echoed later by other (mostly inferior) artists...
anyone else noticed how her designs have popped up in nearly identical pictures by "new" artists? "blab!" and that crowd or what the fark they're called...many sticking to a style that's very much 1950's, angular/bright colourful designs, cartoon style...
was only talking about blatant plagiarism, i.e. people stealing someone's project and calling it their own with only a minimal re-arranging of words...capisch?
