Can you really claim to support a team if you don't/didn't go to the games.

I'm not a proper supporter like my mate who's had a season ticket all his life etc

every year about this time he's fucking gutted cos he doesn't earn a lot but he has to find the money for a new ticket knowing that he's wasting money he can't afford on the shower that is newcastle (he goes with his dad so he can't just fuck it off even if he wanted to)

i reckon i still deserve some credit for following the team for nearly 20 years (i do go when I can but that's 1 or 2 games a season tops cos of living abroad/not being rich)

Yes. You're just not as big a fan as someone who goes to every game. But a bigger fan than someone who claims to be fan but doesn't even watch the games or follow the scores.

that will be the one yeah!

Mk is fine, lots of greenery and culture and a ski centre, brillient.

whats northampton got, skag and the roundhouse!

dave

MK? Greenery & Culture?

You must be joking!

MK is only good for shopping & skating (and I'll give you the ski centre)

other then that it's the grimest set of roundabouts with concrete cows, inbred ignorant cockhead set of people live there and all the housing estates are segregated

shit city is shit

I haven't a problem with fans who used to go watch their team but have then stopped for whatever reason - that's life innit - but some, like one idiot that I manage who claims to support Liverpool even though he's never been to a game in his life (any game, not just a Liverpool match - and he's 49 yrs old!) - now they really do fuck me off.

I thought about giving up after a dozen or so too.

right i've honestly had enough of this bollocks now!:mad:

supporting west ham is the greatets ride in the whole world and i don't want to get off.

I love it.

If you lot don't like it go support spurs or something:mad::mad:

Realised thats the worlds worst idea? Good, now stop complaining!

I would eventually like to go to a champion's league game....

The way i look at it, if you support a team you'd wanna go and see em.
and make the effort.

There's no way on this earth I could get to every Utd match, i don't have the finances or time.

But I try and go once a year and have done for the past few years (didn't get to go this season tho)

You haven't lived until you've seen your team lose in some village-sized northern town, in a roofless stadium battered by the driving rain in the bleak mid-winter.

I saw United at Portsmouth before the away end got covered, can I be a top boy now?

Me too. Swindon away at Pompey in about 1990, I think.
Apparently (and this is half remembered), the Cardiff fans got inside a clock at their end some seasons before and pulled the thing apart, with cogs and springs scattered all over the terrace.

Well you've never bust our clock!

<puts Vs up>

Relahni- Pompey used to be a good ground before they ruined it with seats.

Sadly, I can't see me ever getting a West Ham season ticket again. Too much, too far. I hoped Reading would get promoted as it's piss-easy to get to from here. Other than that, Pompey and Villa are a bit of a drag.

Rugby season ticket £220, granted only 14 games and I spend twice that on beer but all good fun.

I need to get my son into going.

That's very cheap for a rugby ticket.

I despise wigan and whelan, but fair play to him for making the tickets silly cheap - about 215 quid IIRC for a Wigan ticket. I guess it's the only way he can get anyone to go at all...

Quins is nearer £350, no idea why Bath is so much cheaper as it's always sold out. Every game. A massive 10,600!
