The flat I lived in had one living room which was about 2 thirds of the size of one of our two living rooms.Generally a two bed flat just has one extra room compared to a one bed flat. As they both have kitchen, bathroom, living room, hallway etc.. you are only pay e.g 20% more for an extra bedroom.
When the landlord buys the place and gets a mortgage, the amount paid is dependent on the square footage, not the number of people who could live there.
The kitchen was less than half the size of our current kitchen.
Bathroom, less than half the size of current.
One bedroom vs. two.
So that's two fewer rooms, and the existing rooms were much smaller.
As I said, the place was half the size, yet only £100 less.
Sometimes I need a bit of a push with this sort of thing
