Can munching on biscuits make you fat?

I sometimes used to eat more than one whole packet of biscuits in one day. Sometimes two. To this day I remain a fragile, skinny, puny excuse for a physique. I wouldn't worry about a few biscuits per day. You won't get fat unless your general diet and lifestyle isn't very good.

depends a lot on your metabolism tho'. For most people, an extra 500 calories a day (in 6-9 biscuits) is going to add up.

My gf says that my expanded waist is due to me snacking on biscuits. I usually have a couple of digestive biscuits and a cup of tea for brekkie then at least a couple of bourbons or custard creams every time I have a cup of tea which, however, isn't that often during the day.

Do biscuits make you fat?

munch/crunch them but don't swallow ....(then you won't get fat)

Okay I will but if I get tempted one of you must promise to do a slow-motion dive with a long, slow "Noooooooooooooo.......!" to come between me and the biscuit.

Biscuits are like celery, they take more energy to eat than they contain, so every one yuo eat actually helps you lose weight.

The more this OP posts, the more he reminds me of my ex...

..who thought chips were good for you because "chips are potatos and potatos are vegetables and vegetables are good for you"
Chips ARE good for you.

It's eating chips too often that's not good for you.

the nicest oatcakes i've eaten were from an army ration pack that one of my mates acquired a lot of during his spell in the armed forces.

Try swapping your 6-9 biscuits for 1-2 oatcakes.

isn't this rather like saying 'try swapping your duffel coat for a string bikini', or 'try swapping your telly for a framed photo of graham norton'?

Lets just lay this to rest in very simple terms: munching on virtually anything can make you fat. It's all about energy in (energy = calories in food terms) versus energy out. So if your energy intake from food and drinks is greater than your energy expenditure (work, play and the energy needed for your body to function at rest) then eventually you will put on fat weight unless you are doing some form of exercise which will turn those excess calories into muscle.

Yes :o

I prefer fatty cheese on M&S's high in fat black olive crackers so I should shut up shouldn't I?

I think "Stop gorging yourself on sugary, fatty biscuits and eat some healthy snacks instead works better (for him and me)
