I was going to say that French TV is better, but it sadly isn't - but then terrestrial UK TV is pretty shit these days.

Is it true you can't legally watch the BBC via SKY in France ?

The sooner they level the TV playing field all over Europe, the better.

You'd have to buy a decent bandwidth proxy in the uk or have someone with decent bandwidth set one up for you. All those free proxies aren't going to cut it.

been trying to get it to work here in Portugal by using proxy servers and it won't. I know that you are not in Portugal but I guess the same processes apply.

google free uk socks proxy. Once I have a page that lists some uk ip addresses I ping them. Those that return a decent response I test in the browser settings.
Posting from iPod touch so apologies for brevity.

Ah I thought about what i had written and was on my Dad's PC (visit home for Xmas, vaguely aware i work in IT so everytime i am here i am faced with a load of stupid questions). anyway, i realised that you meant the actual application rather than viewing from the browser. However, this is still possible.
Find a suitable socks proxy and in the connections tab on IE enter the proxy server Ip and port number. Doing it in IE should set proxy as default for all programs. including Iplayer.
