Can Australia Beat Japan?

That was a bloody brilliant match, Japan should've had a penalty to be fair and that might've changed things, but the Ozzies just took 'em apart in the last 6 minutes, superb stuff.

i just checked my "betting slip" on-line so no piece of paper, and it turned out i hadn't bet on the aussies to beat japan, :( so while pleased that the plucky aussies registered a first world cup win, it doesn't effect the bet, i do need croatia to beat the japanese in a few days though:)

It's nothing to be proud of to beat a team like Japan - just look at the height advantage of the Aussies - that would have given them a massive advantage in itself - but they could only equalise after 80 minutes.
 
that's what i like about viduka, a fat cynical waster and really quite gifted

a few of his goals last season were exquisite
 
that isn't too weak as the groups go, the aggregate level is above average and there's no complete shit sides like togo or saudi arabia

I have no worries about the Ivory Coast, I think they played very well against Argentina considering their oposition and it's their first world cup game. I predict a win for them against Serbia and a draw against the Dutch.

tis interesting how much support the african sides get in this country - if you look at the (inane) 'your view' ratings on the bbc site, player from angola and ivory coast got the highest ratings in their games despite losing comfortably
