Can anyone hear lots of booming?

Sounds like a huge fireworks display but I can't see anything out the window?

Yeah, I can hear it loud and clear down this end. Wasn't sure whether it was thunder, fireworks, kids lobbing plywood off the flats or what.

I heard it while I was watching CSI. I thought it was someone trying to get out the boot of a car

We could see them as well from here (Stockwell) - they looked quite nearby but if you were hearing them up on Brixton Hill I'd guess they were in Battersea Park or something - they were in that direction.

Bangs were a bit loud at Crystal Palace last night. I assumed the were in the park but I couldn't see anything. Anyone know what/where the display actually was?
