Can a planet be a God

All planets are God, as everything in the universe/multiverse is the thought form and consciouness of God.

So ner.

Not sure if this planet is a deity, but by now it could be a thoughtform (as well as a physical prescence).

No, pantheist.

praise him!

I think Earth is by far the best planet in the Solar System - so if we must worship a planet as a god then Earth would be my choice. Particularly poor in my view are the so-called "gas giants" - I don't think gas should count. Strip away the gas from most of these and how "giant" would they be then eh ?

Black holes are fairly god like with their massive power and mystery about what lies within them, Supernovas too have potential, I'm not entirely clear about what they are but I've seen some impressive pictures and feel I could possibly be persuaded to worship them under certain circumstances.:o

Supernovae don't count, unless as the fall of dead Sun Gods.

Wrap ya hed around this badboy...

Still 12-45 times as massive as the Earth, so ner :)

The problem with worshipping any individual supernova is that they tend to be over pretty quickly - maybe a day or so of explosion, after that it's all radiation and gases.

I mean I suppose you could worship supernvae generally - they do, after all, represent the death and rebirth of the stuff of the universe, they are the cradles of the heavier-than-iron elements and above all else I reckon viewing one from a safe distance would be the coolest thing possible - but wy worship anything at all?

they are also god :)

As is the picture, as is the screen I see it on. It's all god, everything.

I do I mean shite? it's ahrd to tell with me, sometimes.

Worship is for worshippers I always say. I honestly cannot think of a more pointless word than "god", as under the magnifying glass of considered thought the very idea melts away into meaningless nothing. I would say, that the concept of "God" itself defies any meaning at all. Whereas planets and supernovae and other stuff that exists mean all sorts of cool stuff not handily available to the ego-social combinations of the human mind to make paper-men out of.

Actually that's not true, we humans will stick a face on anything and call it boss-man.

I'm only immune because I'm a raving atheist. Stop provoking my atheist diatribes damnit!
