Still I'm not interested in what you would call rights if they can instantly be revoked by some slaphead toff proposing that a breach of the law on my part removes my eligibility to (for example) a fair trial, or for protection from torture or right to procreate where biologically possible - you see if that is how my rights work, to be rescinded by anyone who can drum up enough anger and hate-fuelled support, then frankly they're not worth shit.
So we'll start with evil terrorists, and "bogus" asylum seekers, and in the future I wonder what else we would add to the list of rights-revoking behaviour? Sterilising rapists would certainly appeal to our fucked up ideas of justice, and then maybe we could go on by doing something imaginative to people who commit violent crime. We could also remove rights after different kinds of antisocial behaviour, particulary flavour-of-the-month issues like graffitti or drunkeness in public, and also for things like choosing to get fucked on marijuana instead of alcohol or for offering sex for money. Perhaps people should have their rights as a human being revoked for failure to pay taxes or parking fines, or for littering, or for driving when you should be using the bus, or for being a drain on the health service, or for failing to put aside enough money for your pension. No doubt we'll see it applied immediately to people who choose to protest within a mile of Westminster Palace.
