Non-posh hunting in this country is called "poaching". I suppose you don't get hanged for it any more.
everything to do with reminding the peasants who rules this land.[ /QUOTE]The only time I've ever seen a hunt go through a council estate was on a Dizzee Rascal video.![]()
Why is this news?
I thought the interesting bit was that Dave the Dude was revealed as having been on hunts himself, thus as Ed pointed out, undermining his efforts to distance himself from the old-school, privileged elite Tory party. It's been Tory policy for a long time. Indeed it was in the last manifesto
Repealing the ban is just right-wing tokenism, like introducing it was left-wing tokenism. Letting people go-a-hunting again is a distraction that allows Mr Cameron to leave untouched serious left-wing polices like comprehensive schools.I thought the interesting bit was that Dave the Dude was revealed as having been on hunts himself, thus as Ed pointed out, undermining his efforts to distance himself from the old-school, privileged elite Tory party.

Yes. As I said, the point that I found interesting was that Cameron had been hunting himself. Not coz it comes as any great surprise, but because it illustrates what bullshit this "common man" persona is.Repealing the ban is just right-wing tokenism, like introducing it was left-wing tokenism. When it comes to Mr Bollinger, even the most deluded "Cameroon" can't have bought that one!Yes. As I said, the point that I found interesting was that Cameron had been hunting himself. Not coz it comes as any great surprise, but because it illustrates what bullshit this "common man" persona is.
I'd have taken the grounds of cruelty seriously if anti-hunters had moved to ban factory farming at the same time. The League Against Cruel Sports has been banging on for about four years that the Tories will try to repeal the ban if they get in. Unfortunately it seems that nobody listens to the LACS except for actual members of the LACS.
Fair enough, but the MPs who voted through the hunting ban didn't seem too bothered about it.What are you talking about? The League Against Cruel Sports DOES campaign against factory farming!
