Calling experienced promoters

Last session we were in the second largest rehearsal room. It was £61 for 4 hours.

Ah - £25 for four hours at Enterprise on a Saturday (£12.50 an hour during the week, but we can only really do weekends anyway). We have seen a couple of familiar bands there, though, who've been on TV and stuff; the location's very handy.

There's three of us in the band - the way I see it is it's cheaper than a night at the pub.

There's four of us. But £25 is still cheaper than £61. :D

Mind you, I wouldn't spend £20 on a night at the pub!

So, if well-known bands rehearse there, does that mean you get to know them and publicise your own band with them or something? I'm trying figure out how it would actually help you get bigger gigs and so on; I'm not saying that it doesn't help - it's something I'm sure I've heard elsewhere too - but I think I'm missing something here.

Not really got to know anyone yet. My bandmates are more sociable than me, so hopefully they'll do the hard work for us :o

Amy Winehouse was there the other week. And apparently "We are Scientists" said they'd give us a couple of free tickets to their gig for holding us up. But they didn't. The cunts
