how? soldiers wear uniforms. uniforms make it hard to tell one person from another. if they all wore their own clothes they would be easier to tell apart. you look at the trooping of the colour and see if you'd recognise one grenadier guard from another - they all look the bloody same in that get-up.

The responses you've provoked are down to the pathetically ill-educated quality of what you've posted, not the quality of posters on here.

You really need to rest your prejudices. This ain't Yahoo. This ain't Facebook. If you actually want a proper discussion then you'll find U75 an excellent place to have them. There are some excellent minds on this forum, who will be more than happy to engage in rational debate with you if you've got the balls to stay around. Don't expect kid-gloves though. If you offer a position, you'll be expected to provide justification and sources if pertinent.

im sorry

im angry and spoiling for a fight. ive had a shitty day, had to take a course of action that meant that a mother lost custody of her children. she is a good woman but in a bad state right now, she isnt coping with caring for herself let alone providing for her kids needs. what i had to do was completely the right course of action and ultimately unavoidable.

it still doesnt make me feel good though, in fact i am angry with her, with the shit systems that mean she is in the place she is and ultimately with myself as i ran out of options to help her

im angry and needing a 'fight'. even felt like going up town, getting pissed and getting in a pub brawl, i havent felt like that in 20 years.

upon reflection i have purposefully posted this thread here knowing damn well the reaction it would elicit.

sorry for my churlish comments and insults, thank you to those that have ignored me and those that have stood up for thier beliefs

this thread has served no purprose other than to meet my own (unrealised at the time) needs. if the admins wish to condemn it to the recycle bin feel free, if others want to berate me for my actions here, i understand
