I've died and gone to heaven. BBC4 now. Orange Juice and Scottish pop.:)

For me the sound of young Scotland is the most beautiful sound ever.

it should've been a 4 part series. no c-86 apart from teenage fanclub, whose section was full of holes. an influence on the pixies? yeah, right. nothing on chemikal, bis etc. even used malcolm middleton's music but didn't mention him or arab strap!

All that, and no Fire Engines.

That clip of Altered Images on Jim'll Fix It: couldn't possibly have been him, but the little kid really looked like a young bowl-head Bobby Gillespie! :D

Yeah or even a 2-parter....it seemed heavily biased towards the 80s stuff then skipped over the early 90s and then missed a whole bunch of newer artists.

The lack of anything on Chemikal was a big mistake

There was a fire engines 7-inch in the bottom right for about 0.5 seconds when they did one of those collection shots.

Yeah, I did notice that, which then got my hopes up for a bit of live footage. But there was nothing, not even a mention by the narrator. :(

Meat Whiplash really hotwired my teenage mind, but I never really got Orange Juice or Josef K. (-Having said that, I definitely remember showing a photo of Edwyn to my barber once or twice!...)

Until I watched this documentary, I had no idea Alan Horne was (-is?) so camp. :D

Loved the footage of The Associates too. :)
