Cab driver decapitates himself in Southwark with "motorised noose"

geez man, that was down the road from me :(

why do some people have to commit suicicde in such a public way?

yeah, its like those that jump in front of trains during rush hour, selfish fucks. at least do it on a freight line or something, jesus!

It's very like an old method for removing rotten teeth.

Pretty original but possibly inconsiderate.

There should be people you can call to get the body so you can avoid traumatising randoms.

have to agree with butchers here. posting suicicde methods up = bad idea

disagree mate, it's not like anyone feeling suicidal is going to seize on this as a novel method. Generally, people who want out of this life get out of it. By far more mundane means.

Poor guy.

Ok so it must be horrible for someone else to discover a suicide victim's body but FFS. Some people have no fucking clue do they.

Have been on a tube when some poor woman flung herself under it just as we entered the station.
The passengers had to be evacuated thru the train
Which menat we had to walk past her under the front of the train
But she wasn't quite dead
It was really, really awful

I do wish people who wanted to top themselves would think about the effects on those who will witness the result

Eleven minutes late, scattering of limbs at Belsize Park.

This method of suicide is particularly prevalent in Japan; my girlfriend was always completely nonplussed by the tannoy announcements explaining the delays.

I'd never heard of this method before, but I guess if you're hell bent on topping yourself, the Internet is the place to find out this kind of stuff.

It must have been awful to be the first on the scene.

Some guy did it at a Welsh B&Q (I think it was Camarthen) a few years back

Grim!

Yeah agree with this too - isn't there a statistic somewhere that shows copycat suicides go up with every detailed front-pager?

The Samaritans have done a mass of research on it. There's a set of press guidelines describing precisely how to report on suicides without increasing the likelihood of any readers following suit. Just about all the media have signed up to agreeing to use the guidelines. There is pretty much no sign of anyone bothering to actually do so.

yeh. but it would be a rather up-for-it suicide who decided to get a bloody black cab - and south of the river, too - in which to top her- or himself.
