Bye, George...

He does look quite like an adorable little teddy-bear. An evil teddy bear that steals out at night and kills puppies, but a teddy bear all the same.

sure you don't mean chimp?:hmm: (cue rabid extremists yelling 'why can you evil liberals call Bush a chimp but we can't call Obama a monkey without being accused as racists':()

Maybe Bush didn't "tax and spend", instead he "borrowed and spent" which is viewed as just as bad by fiscal conservatives. If he is such a hero to you why was he unable to balance the federal budget?

Good point. Bush didn't hold the line on spending, he betrayed the conservative creed of tighter fiscal restraint. That is one of the reasons I voted for McCain, but maybe Obama will prove me wrong and hold the reigns on spending.

Doubled the deficit mears. DOUBLED.

That's an incredibly feat of financial fuckwittery :D And it didn't even get you anywhere but fucked!

I almost feel sorry for bush. The global joy of seeing him replaced by Obama msut have got to him - imagine watching the news and thinking 'wow. the entire world hates me'.

He was always a waster and a faliure - and then he got the opportunity to be a fuck up on a global scale.

He's dragged the USA into two unwinnable wars, made it despised around the globe and totally trashed its economy. Has there been a more disastrous president?

No. And, even if it was, Republicans wouldn't be keeping so many jobs anyway.

C'mon there's fuck-all "change" going on.

That's a possibility. But we don't know that yet. And if it is a possibility, then other possibilities are in the game, too...

Richard Nixon

I think you can make a pretty fair argument that Bush was worse.

He abused his powers far more (ok, he got away with it unlike Nixon, but still)

He got the US into two disastrous wars, whereas Nixon got them out of one (ok, he killed about as many people in the process as Bush did starting wars, but still)

I almost

Nope, not recently. Possibly Reagan considering the long term effects. But what will George do now? Try to make money on the lecture circuit, but he's so toxic that I can't believe he'd draw huge crowds. He could publish his memoirs, but who'd read it? He may try to salvage his legacy by starting a foundation & try to do some good in the world...like working on disease in the 3rd world or something but that would take some brains at least.
