bye bye vera

Oh.... bugger! I missed it!

What happened?

Oop. And then I kind of ruined the second episode by turning into a small child at the cinema.

"What's going on? What's happened to Vera? Why isn't she moving? Is she dead or what?"

Nope, hold on, I've turned into me mum.

Anyway, it was very sad- I live in dread of them killing off Dot Cotton/Brannen, I'll be in pieces.

just watched it on youtube. thought it was crap. hope she wasn't looking down on jack's shite acting

It's a shame that it was so understated for a big exit.

Though, I am guessing the Kleenex company will be on full alert when it comes to the funeral.

Something I've witnessed many times in my 42 years is that when people are given extremely shocking news they look like they're doing really shite acting.

Oh, I forgot we'll have the funeral to get through yet. I'll get my supplies ready. :(

I thought being so understated made it much more realistic and emotional.

I've watched Corrie for for as long as I can remember. Now that Vera's died I feel it's time to stop. I think it's starting to get a bit too glam and Estenders like with it's tanorexic barmaids and daft swapped baby storylines :(

RIP Vera :(

I couldn't imagine ever not watching Corrie. I do see your point though. :)

Friday's Corrie

Come on, fess up - who else was blubbing like a big girls blouse? I was AWASH with tears - fantastic acting

Bugger - didn't see this thread and just done one of me own

Just to reiterate - I cried like a baby with cryingitis

Shirl!! Not watch Corrie ever again? I'm shocked

There's already a thread love, I can't copy the link for some reason. :(

But, yes, quite a few of us were a bit 'touched' by it. :o

Yeh - I looked for a Corrie thread and didn't realise til I'd done this one

I was heartbroken!! My daughter sat there taking the piss but I just couldn't.stop.crying

Devastated - Jack reminds me sooo much of me own dad...

Hmmm, that was a bit true to life for me but I still think it was beautifully done. :( :)

(((moo)))

It was a surprise for me, but a lovely one, if you know what I mean. I always thought it would be all ringing people like drs and ambulances - it never occurred to me that someone would do that...just have a little bit more time with them, a peaceful time

FFS its NOT REAL
What's that got to do with anything?

I thought it was a very good (couple of) episodes. Very fitting. Not perhaps the best, but Jack's scenes were very moving.

I'm going to miss the Sunday evening slot, though. Sundays won't be the same with a Corrie-sized hole in them!

Yeh! wtf's going on with that then? I never read up on Corrie for fear of spoilers, but am most miffed at not seeing a Sunday episode last coupla weeks

Are they not doubling up elsewhere? Or am I really gonna have to have less Corrie in my life?
