annoyingly, I agree. Brollies are old hat, no one wants a bag or item of clothing with your logo on it and we've all got enough calculators/pens/keyrings to last us a lifetime.

I would really like either of those (and if you supply staff to the accountancy world, you may like to give me one ;) )

you do a good pen though - those glowing pens were ace, mine broke:(

it all depends on the type of person you are aiming for, and whether it fits in with your work as well.

the most recent gift we have had created for us, is a mini-mouse - small enough to carry around with you, so yo ucan use it for your laptop. has the branding on the mouse. amazing little gift, and people will keep it and use it.

my wife's company gave out coffee mats - not normally a great gift, but the difference was that they were IP lawyers, going to a music conference, so they made them into the shape of a record, with the name of their firm as the label - and people were desperate to get their hands on them.

I'd get you another only the PR team found them and nicked all the rest of them

The only ones I've got at the mo don't glow and say 'innovate or stagnate' on the side of them. Which is enough to make you want to poke someone's eye out isn't it? :(

Maglite would be appropriate then. Or a branded compass. Company I worked for produced these lovely heavyweight timezone desk ornaments so you could turn the dial and see what time it was anywhere in the world - nice if you're a city firm dealing with overseas markets...

I've boycotted Acquascutum since the Japanese bought it and closed some of the production at Hemel. I used to get my suits there.

Lovely idea, SS. I think the rest of the board will freak at £25 per unit. Will shop around though.

ta. :)

:D Yeah - but ask them about the value of the business they hoping to get out of it?

It's very different sending out 2000 gifts to 2000 companies than it is targetting the top 50 firms you want business from and sending stuff directly to senior management - but I'm sure you know that already!

Since £25 is RRP from a 'posh shop', I'd hope you could get it down to £10-15 unit for trade from a promo gift supplier. Obviously, the more you order the less they'll cost too ;) Seriously, if you have a regular promo supplier just get 'em to do the leg work for you :)
