Burgess Hill Town 1-1 Hamlet, Saturday 7th April

That's a really bad result. Think the next seven days are going to decide the league, and second place.

Tortuous journey home - left Burgess Hill to catch the 19:14 replacement bus. Reached Three Bridges to discover that services were paralysed due to a 'one under' at East Croydon. When we eventually reached there, the train that we were on to New Cross Gate suffered a person falling ill in our carriage, with another consequent delay whilst waiting for a ambulance to attend. Train then diverted into Victoria, which meant I didn't get home until 23:00! Fortunately, I had the good company of DulwichHammer who was in fine form goading Investec on Twitter!

Enfield are in 18th place so it's notable that Billericay are struggling against teams that their playing budget should see them easily sweep aside. Add in the self -destruct sending off/yellow cards and things look better all the time.
My concern is more about the mental fortitude of the squad in the run in. There was ages left for us to score again after Burgess Hill equalised but it all seemed to go a bit headless chickens.

And that’s why the Billericay goading is pointless.

Don’t really understand why Nana and Faal was let go? DD and Tomlin are no where near ready, maybe they are just better mates with Gav?

Presumably DD and Tomlin are on contracts for the season and Nana and Faal weren't. Plus obvious wage situation.

All the players concerned are under contract so that isn't a factor.

As also stated, Gavin doesn't make decisions based on whether players are mates or not.

Why are two fit players let go for two who are not fit?
I would argue that it is good to have experienced players in the ranks in the final few weeks, whilst they may not be fit both are huge players to have in the squad, both played their part in our strong finish last year. Both also have experience of big games, Tomlin has appeared in Football League playoff finals and Wembley finals and DD has scored a last minute equaliser in a playoff final.

What is the situation with Allassani at the minute? Is he still struggling with the rib injury or have we seen the last of him in the pink n blue?

Dulwich Hamlet draw at lowly Burgess Hill and slip down to third place, Sat 7th April

Faal scoring again! Just saying!!!!
Yes, that's what happens in football.
Or are you calling for Gavin to step down?
Me...I'll take what Gavin does, he's in charge of the team...
Maybe we can have a list of players Gavin has moved or who are doing nothing now as well...funny how they're never highlighted...
