It sounds interesting but is definitely not a burger - more of a pineapple inside-out cake.
As you probably know from the other thread I don't eat eggs. Occasionally I'll order a double sausage egg mcmuffin, sans egg. Which feels like a waste of money, but it's change from their limp bacon rolls. Driving to N Wales at silly o'clock in the morning though my choices are limited.
Anyway again the Australians have this right. When I was there years back they'd do a sausage and bacon version. I keep hoping McDonald's UK will take note, but ten years on they are yet to do so.
I do sausage mcmuffins without eggs and cheese UnderAnOpenSky don't mind eggs if I cook them to my liking but not a fan if anyone else does them.
I tried a Grand Big Mac the other day and am pleased to report it was just like a normal Big Mac, but bigger. Quite a lot bigger actually.
will not 'like' ever, ever...
Finally got round to trying one. Was distictldi underwhelming. I don't normally go for a Big Mac tbf, but thought there wasn't enough meat for all that bread.
We had burgers for tea, made from scratch by Mrs Sas. Delicious.
Yep, still not as good as a whopper
A whopper done well. BKs quality control is no where near as good as McDonald's, which is unacceptable as they are more expensive. Especially when I want to eat them which is when on long journeys where the prices take the piss.
That said a decent XL Bacon Double Cheese is amazing.
Yep, coming back from Le Continent, first Burger King after Birmingham. I just about had a bloody heart attack when I saw how many calories in a Double Whopper with cheese. Mind you, I don't eat breakfast so that has been the first bite since leaving Amsterdam, and will be the last until I get home.
Just wish McDonald's would stop messing about and just get the McRib back
Might venture to McDs over the weekend, I believe the grand and junior vanish on the 20th, still not had one.
guys I had such a rubbish burger out at the local "gastro pub" last night i could cry. dry, burnt on the outside, over-done, boring, gross, my life just isn't worth living any more
name and shame!
The Abbot Cook in Reading (or as we HILARIOUSLY refer to it as, The Abbot's Cock )
Burger King's new burger has broken the internet
I went to Burger King last week for the first time in ages and had a brioche bun burger with crispy onions. It was really, really nice.
8 rashers is a bit much.
It's 1150kcals so it better be bloody tasty. Before chips and coke. Thats well over an hours running for me at the moment.
Had this little number the other day. Not had a burger that wasn't of the fast food variety for ages. In the Nags Head in Edale after a day's walking, so was rather peckish. Price was £11 so definitely on the steep side, but that's the location I guess.
Burger itself was good, but the roll definitely should have been better for the money. Marks lost for poncy presentation and given where they are, then healthy appetites should be expected and more chips provided.
Also belongs in the we want plates thread.
