I don't suppose there's any way to automate text and handwriting recognition in scanned PDFs and adding it to the title? Again without downloading anything...
I want it to take the existing filenames into account really as some f***wit has decieded that all reference numbers should be the date backwards but then written them in different formats different places. There needs to be an if/else statement to cover that.
TBH on closer inspection the names sometimes bear so little realtion to the contents that you have to look at each scanned document individually to see what's in them. Naturally the person who did this has a long term position and I was lucky to get 2 weeks... *sigh*
When you say the date is backwards, do you mean like this: 2014-07-25?
Because it can be a really useful way of storing similarly named documents to find something with a quick scan down a list. Using the usual format - 25-07-2014 means that all documents with 25 at the start are listed together, when you usually want to list them in order.
If it's any consolation it's probably not the same person, it's different people saving things all in their own way.
