Building The Perfect Quiff

story said:
:D You have seen the Stray Cats in all their glory, haven't you?

no I have not.

Dub has thin and fine hair fyi. Not as in "thinning" but I don't think it's luxuriant :)

Tbh his hair looks like that second one up there but he always gets stressed about his quiff credentials.

If his hair is fine, that's why he has troubles. Thin hair doesn't stand up as well as thick hair does. It gets glooped up and looks rank if the product is to heavy. And it doesn't stand up as well as thicker hair.

The smaller quiff is a better bet with fine hair, and not too long, unles syou want akiss curl. Fine hair is better for kiss curls....unless you have naturally curly hair, of course.

Gel is better than wax for fine hair. And use hairspray too.

how do you know all about everything, story? It's amazing. I bet there are alternative medicines that you know about just for quiffs!

pomade is how you build decent quiff, black & whites or dax usually does the job

many years go, when i had hair i used to use black and white for the quiff i had (shaved head and a half bleached long quiff) - it worked very well and smelt very nice.

Well it shows that he combs the top down...

Do you want the crown to stand up, or lay down like that?

It looks a bit Tin Tin in that photo.

Do you want a Mac Curtis maybe?

B & W is brilliant, but it dries your hair out, and it can be heavy on fine hair.

Why would anyone want such a monstrous thing on their head? If you need to put stuff in you hair to maintain, it just ain't right!

you have a weird, monastic view towards personal appearance. Just because it's easy, doesn't mean it's best.

I have a team of catamites who sit about leafing through encyclopedias for me, feeding me fascinating tidbits and peeled grapes.

you still need the right cut first

you are probably better off going to a high st salon like toni & guy as quiff has recently been 'in' and they'll know more about that type of style than your bog standard short back and sides barber.

bascally you are gonna have to act like a ponce for a couple of hours.
