Building The Perfect Jukebox

nice. sounds like a place my mate stayed in in berlin. except some rooms there have a more leather & whipping edge to them.

not all though.

Stooges: Wanna Be Your Dog
NF Porter: Keep On Keepin On
Rolling Stones: Brown Sugar
Dexys Midnight Runners: There There My Dear
Stevie Wonder - Superstition

this one has some more "play" style rooms.

But Tanky and Dodgers are in one of those ;)
the berlin place i was talking about has peepholes between some of the bedrooms.

the eyes on that portrait might really be following you round the room. and they'll be dodgepot's. :(

is that propeller island? it's supposed to be great, maybe one day I shall try out their kinky rooms :D

Billy Taylor- I wish I knew how it would feel to be free.
Chuck Berry- Promised Land
Professor Longhair- Big Chief
Ray Agee- I'm losing again
Wynonie Harris- Quiet whiskey

not available on 7inch. :(

however, underground resistance have been releasing 7inch versions of their 12's lately...

this is why I said the idea was daft on post 2 of this thread :D

SL2 - On a Ragga Tip is available on 7 inch and would also make my jukebox

aye, got that.

loads of labels still released their stuff on jukebox 7s well into the 90s - i've a jukebox version of 'tender' by blur (released in 99), so i'm sure most pop-ish singles into the early 2000s are available if the money & contacts are available...

oh and this isn't even bragging since i'm bragging to record collectors lol but i have the 7" of djs take control and way in my brain

how motherfuckin sick is that, i paid about 50p for it as well, in woolworths:cool:

ok, with my £1, i'm going to select the following from my box of 7"'s:

Sugarcubes - Birthday
Lou Reed - Walk on the wild side
Plastic Bertrand - Ca plane pour moi
Squeeze - Cool for cats
Smiths - This charming man

of course, that selection will be completely different next time i come back to my singles box with another £1, that's the beauty of juke boxes. what would be good would be some decent double sided 7"'s so that you have twice the choice effectively.

There's just too many to mention. I could pull about 30 tracks off the top of my head but everyone's taste is different and it'd have to be fun for everyone to have a go on the jukebox. If it was me, it would be modified to suit a more 'back to mine' house party selection and I'd have to make it so most of my mates would know the tunes. So sadly I think that would rule out bands like Dinosaur Jr.

Has anyone sugested Sam Cooke yet. Surely any jukebox should have some Sam Cooke on. Not sure what track though, maybe Cupid...

And Louis Prima - Just A Gigilo/ Aint Got Nobody has to be on it! Dunno how hard that would be to find on 7" though...

Mystery Train - Elvis
Tracks of My Tears - Smoky Robinson
Armed and Extremely Dangerous - First Choice
Jean Genie - Bowie
Because The Night - Patti Smith

Bo Diddley – Who Do You Love
Link Wray – Rumble
White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
The Clash – White Riot
Atomic Suplex - Atomic Suplexed By A Girl
that kind of thing?
