Building a new PC - advice wanted

Not sure if its the only way but Id imagine its by far and away the easiest. But then Shuttle have actually spent time aiming for a niche market, so you get a better product anyway for that niche. Rather than just slapping cheap components in a cheap box to try and get the best impression of speed for the price.

Yep, unless you are a gamer then then graphics card is a bit poxy... You can buy pre-built shuttles though... (But working on Shuttle cases is a dream compared to some, and you even get a little manual showing you how to install stuff...)

Ive cut myself on cases before, had others that were designed so badly that to remove one component meant removing several others just to be able to get to it. Typical one seemed to be RAM sticks in the way of hard drive bays, or just protruding slightly, so if u werent careful and tried to remove the hard drive it rammed into the RAM module without it looking like a problem unless you knew about it.

Another whereby if you installed an Optical drive into either of the top two bays it would actually hit a capacitor on the board, preventing you from installing it properly and if unnoticed fucking your mainboard up.
