    Both.

It took me ages, but I eventually found some tee shirts long enough and trousers wide enough ...

Tis not a condition suffered exlusively by builders

It's the cut of the trousers and not wearing a belt. I've noticed it on slim people.

What if it happens whilst wearing a belt?

I always get it. Belts make no difference, my jeans just slide down.

Both, my b/f was a brickie and often had to be crouched down or kneeling. Jeans were often therefore a tad on the tight side. The belly obviously contributed to the tightness :D

In fact, he always wore a belt so never showed as much as a lot of builders

I get it too. Belts normally help a bit... when I was pregnant I had to resort to wearing men's braces to hold my breeks up

i get it  i wear belts sometimes but find i nearly always wear them too tight in order to keep my trousers up. that runs the risk of inducing camel's foot though, you can't hitch them up too much see...
    I blame the manufacturers. bastards.

*whispers- me too* ;) Ive had to search for perfect jeans.

Everyday jeans/ going down the pub jeans:
I generally wear bench/ g star jeans which are slung low.

    Going out jeans:
Skinny hipster ones, cut extra low. Longer top, big belt- problem solved

I tried high waisted jeans and we didnt get on.

    Oh and Dill... :D
