Buckingham palace to get £370m refit

This is going to happen. Even if the ragged masses rose up as one & torched the place they would still rebuild it at even greater cost. The only way forward is to vote for some swivel eyed populist loon & start to tear down the whole rotten edifice. :D

The know that the Queen doesn't actually own BP, right? It's owned by the country. And if you read the article it seems to be in a pretty poor state.

And 1000's are forced to live in properties rented by the country from private landlords who are supposed to maintain them to a decent standard, yet these places are full of damp and mould that are affecting the health of the tenants. Meanwhile one of the many PALACES Liz and her brood get to live in may have the odd bit of flopping wallpaper, well boo-fucking-hoo.

Why am I not surprised it's no use trying to get any sense out of you. If you'd actually bothered to read the article you'd know that it is in a pretty poor state of repair - dangerously so.

Oh noes, a mansion they live in a few weeks of the year is more of a priority than mould infested squalid hovels that people are forced to live in all year round, is that the country you want to live in Bungle73?

I want to live in a country where important and historic buildings are properly maintained.

Meanwhile is one of her residences her majesty is delighted to hear how her subjects are cheering the news and asks if Kirsty Allsop could consult on new cushions and find a way to upcycle some left over ermine and that chunky 16c four poster with the ruby inlay. I hope its on BBC because I have been tussling with what to do with my own spare ermine.
