BSG season 3 *with spoilers*

^Little factoid: that scene in the miniseries where Adama repeats that line over and over to get the crowd worked up was ad-libbed by Edward Olmos. The rest of the cast and the extras just went along with it. The guy's a legend.

Like it. :)

That last bit, who in the series said that? Someone did.
I think the type six in Balthar's mind has said it. Roslin may have said it also, I'm not sure.
It has been said more than once though.

Just watched the new episode online... meh.

Was expecting a big trial of Baltar episode but instead got a rather worthy, predictable Star Trek-ish filler episode complete with a rent-a-week villian.

The preview of next week's episode doesn't look very promising either, looks like we're in the midst of a bit of a mid-season lull. :(

Agree. The latest episode felt very weak relative to the rest of the third season. Perhaps they've set the bar so high they just can't keep the writing up?

after thinking that something big was going to happen to a character in last nights episode , i was dissapointed to find out that it is in an episonde called Maelstrom , in 2/3 week. Last night wasnt that great but still betterthan a lot of stuff out there :)

Some good news I thought I should share here... CONTAINS BIG SPOILER!

Best Battlestar News Ever!
Thank the Gods!

The Sci Fi Channel has ordered a 13-episode fourth season of Battlestar Galactica to debut in Jan. 2008!

Raise a toaster in the air and repeat after me: "Frak, yeah!"

No official confirmation from Sci Fi, but the L.A. Times says a formal announcement is expected later today. The Times also is confirming that a major character will be unmasked as a Cylon before the end of the season. And if my BSG mole is to be believed, it's not Starbuck.

So, who then? Place your bets here!

Hmm, I'm still thinking Apollo, but just wondering how it can be explained seeing that he's Adema's son and everything.

Still imagine how good it'd be if the cylon turned out to be a certain bald, gruff, alcoholic, one-eyed XO...

No, that would be rubbish as he's my favourite character. :)

My money's on Duala, although in the interests of balance it should really be a bloke who's revealed to be a cylon this time. Chief?

But imagine how brilliant it'd be. An army of pissed-off, pissed-up cylon Tigh's boarding Galactica, shouting abuse at anyone who comes near them and drinking their way through all the alcohol supplies...  :D

Speaking of which, just where exactly does all their booze come from anyhow? Considering the amount of permanently sozzled crew members they have, I'm amazed there's still anything left!

The have to do these sorts of episodes simply because its difficult to produce so many episodes in a year.

If you do an episode like that with limited sets, limited casts and very small scopes, you can probably overlap making that with another episode.

Listen to me you little frakker *big slug of whiskey* I was frakkin toasters before you was a gleam in yer daddies eye.

I liked the last episode. Character-driven. And any episode with lots of Donnelly Rhodes as Galactica's doctor is fine by me.

And I love imaginary Baltar.

Missed this thread because I've been catching up.

The reason that the humans and the cylons arrived at the Temple of Jupiter at the critical time is because there are obviously hidden cylon models still making key decisions for humans (probably Roslin because the prophecies speak of her and the Xena type would certainly feel the need to apologise to her after nearly executing her on New Caprica).
The humans were led to the planet by Athena. It could be Roslin, remember the doc injected her with Cylon blood cells when she was dying of cancer.

You know when tighs incredulouse or angry, and he gets a little quaver of outrage in his voice? I fucking love that

Is the actor canadian? cause that accent sounds strange to mine ears

as you were

What, like when he got lamped in the last episode? Yeah.

Apparently he's Canadian, and his wandering accent is the subject of much amusement amongst the North American fanbase. Can't say I hear any difference myself.

If you haven't seen it, is the official series 3 gag reel. It only features episodes that have already been broadcast stateside so no spoilers if you're keeping up.

hehe that is class

Whover does that tune at the end deserves a medal 'yeah I wanna frak from the front and the back':D
