I went in on Tuesday up to my hips....much warmer at 5degrees then....i was working today supervising all the swimmers!

It would have been cold enough standing around supervising without going in. Good work I reckon!

I got quite cold just watching. It was very good fun anyway and my friend said it was an incredible rush!

I was quite surprised as to how pleasant the experience was

Yeah, I had the protection of a half wetsuit, but I didn't feel any discomfort until I hot the iceberg in the centre of the pool.

I'm so pleased that the Midwinter swim is now an established event on the Lido calendar. A huge thanks to all the lovely Fusion and BLU people for making it happen. It just seems to get bigger and better organised each year (loved the use of the stepladder to break the ice.)
