The company’s PR agency have been in touch and sent this:

We wanted to get in touch regarding the Brixton Mural and the work happening there in association with Propercorn

The Propercorn installation in Brixton was installed with the permission of Lambeth Council and mural artist Jimmy C. Once the installation is removed, after the month of July, Propercorn will also fund the overdue restoration work on the mural.

Having listened to community feedback the Bowie mural will remain uncovered and Propercorn will still fund the required restoration.

Also, in addition to a month of planned free community activity the brand will also be gifting free popcorn to Brixton tomorrow as an apology.
