Well the current maternity unit at Tommy's is great. They've sold and spent well.

The Lying-In Hospital is a great name. I have lost count of the number of friends/rellies who have seen it & passed comment that I need a spell in there to cure my dislike of getting up before midday!

Brixton. I am taking the passing through option, 'cos I've never lived there, but having been in Vauxhall/Battersea for 21 years I've come to know it well as part of my wider neighbourhood, & seen a lot of changes. Its reputation as a clubbing mecca is, I would say, relatively recent. Very broadly, I would say it's smartened up in that time, & got a lot busier, but to the detriment of a lot of it essential Brixton-ness! Anyway, I am sure there are many here who are more qualified than I to comment.....

Oh, and when a friend of mine was murdered, that's where the perps dumped and burned the car that linked them to the murder. Not that that helped them.......he was robbed and murdered on the way to Glasto about 10 or so years ago......

i was born elsewhere but moved to brixton when i was about 5. lived in brixton until i was 19, then went off to uni for 4 years, now back in brixton for the foreseeable future.

i wouldnt live anywhere else in london.

i was born and lived elsewhere until not all that long ago when i ended up in brixton for a year.

when i move back to london again next year there's nowhere else i will even contemplate living.
