Yeah sure. I can't move about freely for the amount of coppers trying to tuck me up!

Sorry, I've been some real deep shit in the past where I could have been given a real hard time off the old bill. They have to deal with gobby arseholes day in and day out. If you're gobby with them, I'm sorry, but they are only human, they'll ruin your day. They do have emotions, they do go home on a lot of days wondering why the fuck they do what they do. There are members of the public who'll treat ANYONE and ALL OFF THEM like shit no matter how hard the police try to be nice.

Oh and I know sooooooooo many people who've got heatbreaking stories of police brutality - yeah right.
sorry, but what was that I heard about law enforcement officers having to put professionalism above all else?

Erh?

Do you know what would happen if the old bill didn't nick people who are being mouthy for the hell of it?

Some people out there are like dogs. Show em your scared and they stop barking and then start biting.

If I was a copper, rather than walk away laughing, I would nick someone for being gobby. Failure to do so, would lose respect.

Nicking people for it, is a perk of the job.

How many good relationships are based on fear? That's what you're talking about, not respect.

Admittedly lots of people are never going to respect the police because that's the sort of people they are - but that's no reason to nick them in itself - which is a huge waste of time compared to the useful stuff the police can be doing.
