Brixton Bar and Grill

The other night I went past here on my way to meet Miss T, reckon at around 10.

This is the place that used to be Pangaea, has undergone some radical surgery and that night was absolutely rammed.

I'm well curious. What is this place like? Does it do food? Has anyone checked it out?

Is it open yet.

By the by, the narrow place at Kennington Cross that used be closed (and someone mentioned on a previous thread) has reopened as something silvery-grey that is too trendy to read.

Islington bar & ...

I know someone who works there but am not tempted by free drinks.

If it is part of the same chain then I will give it a miss. ;)

isn't it owned or part-owned or something by the people from the 100 Pub on Acre Lane?
Pangaea certainly used to be connected. They had matchbooks for each other in both places

I passed this place on Saturday night after Offline at the Ritzy. I was surprised to see it open already and looking *completely* different from Pangea.

At the risk of starting another nuclear war here, my first impression was shiny, bland and uninteresting. I will of course resist judgement until I taste the food - although I think that's quite unlikely, considering what I said above!

I couldn't see a menu either. I wonder why they had TWO bouncers on the door?
