Britain is a toilet

I'm obviously a total cunt of a bastard of a cynic, because as soon as I read the thread title I thought to myself "ah, here's where the forever rightward-marching kbj starts to formulate his apologia for moving to the state of Israel".
I hope I'm wrong.

Nah Germany possibly. Wages are shit in Israel. :D

Its not a rightward march its a march into the land of reality. :)

Oh I think I can at least in general. Look at the number of decisions affecting the majority which are taken by a minority. Look at the Labour Ministers who don't send their children to local comps? yet they big up how well they are doing. Or those who brought in over liberal law and order policies they all live on fat salaries out in the sticks not with the consequences of their decisions. Similarily those who shout 'immigration is good for you shut up about it' normally don't seem live in the areas that have suddenly been put under immense demographic change. This decision making whilst being divorced from the consequences has very negative effects.

It is negative for the child in a shit school. Negative for the genuine immigrant / asylum seeker as they have to face the anger of locals who've been pushed down to the bottom of the pile yet again and negative for the vunerable who has to live in fear of criminals.

Blaming the comprehensive system isn't the answer.

Instead of giving less money to failing schools/ hospitals.. getting them to compete for shrinking pots of money.. failing schools should be given proper resources. Then you may see a result.

Harking back to slective grammars for the lucky few isn't an answer in my book - and yes it's being done by the back door in many cases.

Are there extra points in your world for speaking out of your arse then?

Where do you think that many of the people that are criticising your blatantly-unbalanced view of immigration are living then. Brixton, Streatham, Norwood? All areas with no immigration/demographic change or not? ARe people like me, VP and El Jefe all 'divorced' from 'the consequences' then>

You know the answer here KJ - why do you persist writing down such patent falsehoods. You just seem to be a walking whingeing apologist for the BNP, criticising immigration by making false claims and offering no statistical support or logical backing for your claims, You're a shambles and I wish, whatever your personal issues at the moment, that you seek proper help rather than spouting this borderline-delusional rubbish?

Its not the fact that comps exist its the fact that a priviledged bunch of educational 'experts' used working class children as subjects in a piss poor experiment in educational methods a fair few of which have been shown to be useless such as not teaching grammar.

Selective grammars aint the answer but neither is lumping the good and the bad the motivated and the useless in the same classroom.

You three are some of the minority who do live with the consequences.

First of all I'm going to say Fuck Off and say that I'm not an apologist for the bnp - but ignoring problems isn't going to remove their support.

If services had been resourced properly then we may have been able to take far more people fleeing from persecution however, becuase refugees have been overwhelmingly forced on areas that have a lot of endemic social problems and resource problems it has caused resentment amongst many local people.

As regards immigration we should always give priority to those fleeing persecution. Economic migration especially at a time when there is not enough work for our own people should come well down the list.

Oh great, so now KJ's blaming a 'priviledged bunch' (sic - education standards must be getting so much worse now) of educational experts for the destruction of Blighty as we know it.

Yep, it's lack of provision for proper English Grammar teaching that's led us to hell in a handcart. How can I not have seen that before?

It's that really the most substantive, best referenced, criticism you can come up with.

Next week in KJ's diary: Flee the country. Our PE teachers are inadequate!

I'd rather have someones learned experience of a country and about how shit it is than some academic bollocks saying how well we are doing.

I KNOW the country is going down the toilet I don't need no stinking 'references' to tell me what I already know.

Yes, but what you 'know' is clearly coloured by the fact that you're a bit of a nutjob without a proportionate take on things at the moment.

I don't need to be an expert to know that either. I live in deprived area, often work on social housing in your neck of the woods - your seeming view of me as some kind of ivory tower liberal is as duff as your hysterial views in general.

Only if you are poor. If you are well off Britain is a brilliant place to be. :)

The left these days is very good at waving statistics at the poor and telling them they're actually living the life of riley. Is it any wonder the left has no support among the working classes and poor anymore when they seem to pride themselves on being smugly indifferent to their concerns?

If the 'educational' ideas peddled by this privileged elite are so good how come we have dropped so far in areas such as literacy?

May I suggest that you take note of what I said earlier. I said that you and the other named posters are the execption to the rule that those who support the policies of the elite don't have to live with the consequences.

Exactly. And its the well off who have constantly inflicted damaging policies such as mixed ability teaching, abandonment of English grammar, forced demographic change whilst similtaniously living in an area with good selective schools, a cohesive community and a respect for education and most of all hope.

I couldn't agree more.

Fuck me I really feel like a common sense voice in the wilderness on here sometimes.

I don't blame comprehensive schools for all the ills in society, more selfish greedy bastards and a fuck you mentality.

A good comp should be perfectly able to integrate all ability levels. They don't try and teach mixed ability classes in subjects anyway, we had streaming/ setting (get them mixed up)
I'm not going to lie and say my school was perfect but I came away literate and with 8 good GCSE's. It can happen.

And that counts as proof in your book? I don't want to point out the blinking obvious, but there may be external factors at play there.

Still, don't let me get in the way of your simplistic, routine haste to blame a few 'priveledged' (sic) liberals again.

Always with the rants against the pathologically evil and yet incredibly nebulous demons of "the left".

And yet never anything approaching a quantification of who the fucking fuck you're talking about.

Lazy gobshite-ism at it's worst. I hate to say it, but you remind me of the twats who sell the "Socialist Worker", so dogmatic you couldn't find your arse with both hands and a satnav.

I had to suffer mixed ability teaching. Also I had inconsistent streaming and setting which also fucked me and many others up.

A whole generation of children were failed by adherence to the dogma of mixed ability good / streaming bad

I was taught in a streamed / stratified educational system, and I don't see that where I'm from was any fucking nirvana, you plank
