Brilliant gentle/fragile music - recommendations

Angel Milk by télépopmusik - pretty much the whole album.

Kate St. John - Second Sight - again pretty much the whole album

Another Eno recommendation - Another Green World. He's got quite a fragile singing voice on this album!
The Orb - Star 6 & 7,8,9

The Sundays
Any of the following tracks: Here's Where The Story Ends, Homeward, Folk Song, When I'm Thinking About You, Leave This City.

Cardiacs - Is This The Life

thats the video

This is the full length version - much more epic (and in my mind beautiful - its just the guitar tones in the last 3 mins that get me)

Flower duet from Délibes Lakmé.

Pretty much anything on the Agnus Dei compilation albums - all vocal versions of a variety of Dies Iraes, Requims etc, including the utterly heart-wrenching version set to Barber's score. I don't know if I'd be able to listen to it live without crying.

poignant and dark, rather than fragile and gentle

bark psychosis - i know

the chills - pink frost

momus - murderers, the hope of women

mogwai - take me somewhere nice
