me and the husband are off to brighton at the end of the month for a mid-week break (cheaper innit
)
the daytimes are pretty much sorted for shopping, sitting on the beach, eating chips on the pier, but I'd like some recommendations for places to eat and drink in the evenings.
we're staying at the hotel pelirocco, which apparently has a good bar, but we want to venture out of the hotel at some point. the hotel is in regency square, so I'm thinking places along the seafront might be a good bet.
don't really fancy old man type boozers (we'll go to them during the day
), but also don't fancy anything poncey either. quirky would be good, sleazy would be good. cheesy wouldn't.
el mexicano restaurant looks like it might be good, anyone been?
also, does anyone know where to look for small gigs that might be happening? the only gig I can find online is simon webbe, and that's no good now is it?
