so an investigative reporter' possibly from the the Daily Mail has found out the same things fanclub/other rabid fangirl types have been claiming for years only with added genuine proof?
^ except thinking about it and realising I'd got the two ex Brian Jones staff types and unofficial murder suspects mixed up, published writers have been blaming it on Thorogood for ages (at least since he died and couldn't sue) Surprised the article doesn't mention the alleged (and apparently debunked) 'death bed confession'. Last time I bothered to read any of them the (sane) therories were accusing another person (who's still alive afaik so won't name them) instead.
spooky. I very nearly started a Brian Jones thread a week or two ago, just for appreciation. To these ears he was a crucial ingredient and after he stopped making worthwhile contributions the Stones were far more ordinary. Don't know much about the circumstances of his death will have a look.

He was certainly crucial until he was simply sat in the studio too mindfucked to do anything other than rattle a tambourine.
Look at the credits on Let it Bleed album - he's hardly featured at all.
Post Jones Stones were more inclined towards one type of sound, but they still nailed some great albums after he was gone - Sticky Fingers for instance.
It is very important that this is reinvestigated if there is any hint of it being foul play. As anyone who has had a loved one murdered will understand. And length of time since any crime like that is really not the issue. I really hope, DC, that you never find out the hard way what the hell I'm on about.
